Well, well, well… it always give me a bit of inspiration when I discover yet another CC*J*HS member made it out of the “7th Circle” – more commonly known as the Midwest. And, in fact, seemingly took a similar route in escaping, that
being to run as fast and furiously as possible on a westerly route until you run out of land. Then, drop the luggage and hunker down. I must admit, I am suitably impressed with the accomplishments you’ve achieved over such a short period of time. There were always a couple of *people* whom I had wondered about in regards to the path their lives would take – those like yourself who always seemed to have that special *it* factor enabling them to conquer the world.
On a more blog-related note, I’m intrigued by your book list, as I do enjoying straying from the classics now and again, and am always on the prowl for great modern writing. And considering your experience and obvious enjoyment in the
music industry, I’d like to recommend Sting’s one and only autobiography (titled Broken Music). If you’re a fan, it’s a very witty and candid look into a person’s life who has transformed the world as not only a musician, but a devout
environmentalist, as I’m sure you well know.
Ahhh… and the movie list. As this industry seems to have also infiltrated all aspects of your life, I’m sure it’s near and dear to your heart, so I’ll refrain from debating the ratings of some that I’ve found to be contrary to their markings… I will say this, if you’re interested in the merger of fantasy and
reality, instead of the Bridge to Terabithia, check out Pan’s Labyrinth – with certain CG characters reminiscent of the art of Alex Grey.
I write much of this with a wry grin on my face and hint of humorous sarcasm, as I seem to remember that you had quite a funny bone yourself. I’ve also refrained from relinquishing too many details about myself, as (again with a grin) I attempt to test your memory skills in case my posted name doesn’t jog it!
Best of luck to you!
