So I was meandering around YouTube this afternoon and stumbled upon this phenomenal artist, Phil Hansen. He’s posted several videos of himself creating these works; and not only is he extremely talented, he’s obviously trying to say something with his art.
The above portrait of Mother Theresa was made by rearranging dandelions and photographing them. Amazing. Check out his site: Phil In the Circle for more of these highly original works of art. You’ll find a portrait of George Bush made with the names of fallen soldiers in Iraq, an image of the Ku Klux Klan made with photocopies of Bible pages, and a cool Bruce Lee portrait which he made by applying paint to his hands, and doing kung fu all over a wall.
