Review
This is supposed to be one of the great little spiritual leadership tomes of the day… I was less than moved. While the introduction and epilogue are nifty anecdotal bookends, the actual meat (Chapters) of this incredibly brief treatise on Contemplative Prayer and First Love is not exactly the stuff that makes for a page-turner. Yes, it’s well thought out and probably quite useful to a particular demographic; right now though, I guess I’m just not part of said demo. On the other hand, it’s a REALLY quick read with a handful of promising ideas to bounce around yo’ head. Kill it in an afternoon if you’re bored and feeling useless.
