Review
A remarkable book from a remarkable author, “The Ragamuffin Gospel” falters only from a couple relatively uninspired chapters. The rest of the book is pure gold from both a spiritual and philosophical standpoint. With an honest an unwavering look at himself and the world, Manning paints a vivid picture of Grace, giving simple colors to a concept we often over-intellectualize in an effort to see things in black and white. Passionate, powerful, and perhaps even controversial in the mass-market world of politically-minded “Religion,” this Gospel deserves to be on everyone’s reading list regardless of their spiritual leanings. Check it out.
